The support from the generous GCA grant allowed us to accept more partners than we had originally anticipated as well as helped us grow in our goal toward increasing longterm sustainability. We are infinitely grateful for the opportunities the support from this grant have given our organization and allowed us to bring more art to more kids to make a bigger impact in the communities we serve.  Being a kid is hard enough- facing self-doubt, bullying, and peer pressure. But for the two thousand young people Paint Love works with each year, growing up experiencing poverty or trauma is even more stressful.

“Sometimes when I feel mad at myself, I will say mean things about myself like I’m stupid, or I’m ugly. But since we did this Paint Love project, now I will think about myself that I’m smart, and unique, and perfect just the way I am.”
