This performance is primarily storytelling and performing of the stories from various Indian Epics that have great morals of courage, love, dedication, and honesty. Guru Sushma Mohan with her three decades of performing and teaching, presents this captivating project that narrates Indian stories with a universal approach.

Dance and Visual Art: The program will begin with an introduction to Indian art, (Powerpoint presentation if permitted), display of Indian dance props (like jewelry, etc.) and presentation of Temple dances of South India. Group and solo dances by Soorya Foundation dancers in the traditional Bharathanatyam dance style. Pronounced bha-ra-tha-naat-yum, this is the 2,000-year-old art form that boasts highly stylized dance movements & exquisite facial expressions. A duet of dance and drums of south Indian drum-mrudangam can also be presented.
