Tim Habeger
Tim Habeger has served as artistic associate director with 7 Stages Theater for seven years. He has worked as a writer with Round World Films and he is cofounder and artistic director of PushPush Film and Theater. He spent 15 years as director of The Portal International Exchange. As an instructor, he has taught acting, writing, and directing in theater and film for more than 20 years. He has also worked for more than 20 years as a workshop leader with SmallTall Young Artists. His teaching positions have always included curriculum and/or program development. Professional practice has always been his primary focus. Although he has had a lot of experience in high school and college teaching, he has also produced every Shakespeare comedy with 8-12 year olds at PushPush Theater’s 20 years of summer camp. His current teaching work is with young professional artists.

Program Fees:
- 1 or 2 back-to-back workshops, Metro Atlanta – $450. Additional performances – $150 each. Rates outside the metro area vary based on distance.
- Workshop Day Rate/Metro Atlanta – $650. Outside Metro Atlanta – $800 plus travel, accommodations (as applicable), and per diem.
- 5-Day Residency/Metro Atlanta – $3,000. Outside Metro Atlanta – $3,500 plus travel, accommodations, and per diem.
Artistic Profile:

He spent three years as Head of Drama at Northside School of the Arts, Dekalb School of the Arts, and four years as Head of drama at Pebblebrook School of the Arts. He served for three years as Arts Instructor at Georgia State University and one year at The University of Georgia in Athens. He was Technical Director at Paideia School for 15 years. His tenure also includes one year as Drama Instructor at Providence College and seven years as Drama instructor at AMDA in New York City. His teaching positions have always included curriculum and/or program development. Professional practice has always been his primary focus. Sample Programs:
- Programs – 45 min-2 hours. Limit 30 students with special exceptions.
- Fights and Falls with Shakespeare: This unique, hands-on program allows young people and professionals to explore Shakespearean text in an easily accessible way — through movement and active drama. This is a great team-building program for arts teachers.
- Team Writing for Individual Writers: This writing workshop looks at modern techniques used by HBO writing teams and others to create individual scenes within larger story lines. A great intro or advanced workout to free up creativity and safely explore collaboration.
