South Georgia Ballet (SGB) provides exposure, enrichment, and education of dance and the performing arts to southwest Georgia to improve quality of life for the community. SGB was founded as a regional pre-professional ballet training program in 1998. Today, SGB not only offers exceptional dance training, but also develops and performs three high-caliber productions each year and engages a diverse community with educational and performing arts enrichment experiences and programs. South Georgia Ballet offers dance instruction to burgeoning students, including to those who cannot afford dance training. SGB seeks to bring dance training and performances to audiences of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds and believes that a thriving arts program greatly enhances the community.
