Teaching Artists Registry

The term teaching artist encompasses many purposes. The GCA K-12 Teaching Artists Registry is a directory of teaching artists who are professional artists connecting their artistic practice with educational needs. Hiring a teaching artist is beneficial in adding a blend of creativity in developing curricula.

The GCA K-12 Teaching Artists Registry features qualified teaching artists who have extensive training and experience in one or more artistic disciplines, are available to work in schools and at organizations serving K-12 students around the state, and have passed a background check to work in a school environment. The registry includes competitively evaluated professionals and ensures a high-quality standard for performances, workshops, and/or residencies, providing schools and organizations with the best artistic experiences.

Additional information about teaching artists can be found at these resources: · Entertainment Community Fund · International Teaching Artist Collaborative (ITAC)

Teaching Artists Registry applications are not being accepted at this time. Please stay tuned for future announcements. For questions about the registry, please contact Emily Yewell Volin, Grants and Arts Education Program Manager, at 404-962-4015 or [email protected].
