The Art of Georgia III: Celebrating Home

Georgia Council for the Arts in collaboration with the Office of the Governor, is pleased to announce a call for entries for The Art of Georgia III: Celebrating Home. This third iteration of the exhibit, like the two before, seeks to capture the uniqueness of communities throughout Georgia as seen, explored, and depicted through the artist’s eye. Two-dimensional visual art, in a variety of media, exploring this theme will be considered.  *Please note that the state has been divided into only two regions for The Art of Georgia III.  See the guidelines for the county list.

The Art of Georgia II: Portraits of Community

Georgia Council for the Arts in collaboration with the Office of the Governor, is pleased to announce a call for entries for The Art of Georgia II: Portraits of a Community. This second iteration of the exhibit follows the inaugural Art of Georgia: Celebrating Georgia’s Landscapes and People. The Art of Georgia II: Portraits of a Community seeks to capture the uniqueness of communities throughout Georgia as seen, explored, and depicted through the artist’s eye. Two-dimensional visual art, in a variety of media, exploring this theme will be considered.

The Art of Georgia I: Celebrating Georgia's Landscapes and People

This exhibit, hosted by Georgia Council for the Arts in collaboration with the Office of the Governor, explored the theme of Georgia's natural and cultural heritage, its landscapes and its people. The images covered a wide range of media that includes photography, paintings, mixed media, and drawings.  Over a two-year time frame work was sought from artists in all 159 counties.   A total of 530 works of original art by Georgia artists were submitted for consideration.  133 works by 95 artists were ultimately selected and exhibited in the Office of the Governor.  Additionally, all of the exhibited work was shared via the digital guides below.
